Vivo X Fold2 teasers continue to appear from the 2023 Boao Forum for Asia, held on Hainan Island in China. The foldable phone was unboxed by a local blogger and later reposted by Vivo on Weibo, clearly as part of a coordinated marketing campaign.
On the back of the phone, 3/4 will be red leather, while 1/4 will be glossy. A few of the new UI features we saw during our handling of the X Fold2 were the taskbar, which offers better app management, multi-window modes, and gesture controls, none of which were available on the previous X Fold devices.
There are two under-display fingerprint scanners on the device – one on the cover display, and one on the foldable screen. For a foldable smartphone, this is the first time the feature has been confirmed.
Vivo X Fold2’s hinge has also been improved, according to the blogger. A kickstand can now be used for watching video content and taking photos and videos in all positions and angles. As well as being lighter, it is also about 10% thinner than its predecessor, which weighed over 310 grams.
The vivo X Fold2 will be officially unveiled in April. Due to the fact that the phone is practically ready for sale, we should learn the launch date within a couple of days.
A vivo Pad 2 tablet appeared in the video and has been displayed at the business conference as part of the event’s landing stage.
