OnePlus Nord N200 5G

A couple of key details about the upcoming 5G-enabled Nord N300 mid-ranger were officially revealed by OnePlus before any leaks could happen.

A successor to the June 2021-released Nord N200 5G, this undoubtedly ultra-affordable handset will debut “next month.” There’s no exact launch date or price yet, but OnePlus wants to make it clear it plans to launch in time for Christmas in the US.

With its smooth 90Hz screen, large 5,000mAh battery, and Snapdragon 480 processor, the 5G-capable N200 is one of the best budget phones in the United States. It typically costs $240 and often scores discounts of $40 or more nowadays without any restrictions.

The Nord N300 5G is likely to keep most of its predecessor’s strengths while upgrading, for example, the maximum charging speed from 18 to 33 watts.

An exclusive report from The Verge reveals that, unsurprisingly, the Nord N20 5G, released less than six months ago, has the same charging capabilities.

Also, an oddly blurry official product image (above) suggests that the overall design has been refined, with a revised dual-rear camera module, sharp edges, relatively thin screen bezels, and the waterdrop-style notch replacing the hole punch from the N200. As to whether OnePlus will be able to lower its recommended pricing even further, remains to be seen.
