Google is currently planning to launch the premium flagship Pixel 7 series with Pixel 7 & Pixel 7 Pro. Previously we saw a few reports suggesting the upcoming compact flagship phone from Google. Now the latest leak reveals the details of the alleged Pixel 7a.
According to Chinese leakster Digital Chat Station, Google is developing a compact Pixel smartphone codenamed “Neila”. The Pixel 7a may have a flat-screen with a punch-hole selfie camera cutout and a rear visor similar to the Pixel 6 series. Further details about the device were not provided, but we can assume it may be the Pixel 7a.
In addition to the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, Google will unveil its first smartwatch on October 6. Therefore, we may see the Pixel 7a sometime in Q3 2023. Earlier this week, Apple announced its iPhone 14 series, which does not include a mini model but instead includes the larger, 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus.

Google Pixel 6a:

The new Google Pixel 6a will sport 6.1 inches FHD+ 60Hz refresh rate AMOLED flat punch-hole display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device also comes with HDR10+ support. It measures 8.7mm thick.

The new Google Pixel 6a is powered by the new Tensor GS101 SoC which comes with an 848MHz Mali-G78 GPU & Titan M2 security chip. The phone comes with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage options.

 

The Google Pixel 6a comes with a 12.2MP Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1.7 aperture coupled with Sony IMX386 12MP ultra-wide shooter with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. Pixel 6a can shoot 4K videos at 60fps. The Pixel 6a comes with an 8MP Sony IMX355 selfie shooter.

The new Pixel 6a also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner & Stereo speakers. The Pixel 6a packs a 4410 mAh battery with 18W fast wired charging. It runs on the latest Android 12 OS out of the box. It also gets IP67 certified making it dust & water-resistant.

The connectivity option includes Dual SIM, Wifi-6E, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.2 LE, USB Type-C port, NFC, Dual SIM with 4G LTE, 5G with mmWave support.
