CEO Lei Jun announced Xiaomi’s second foldable smartphone at his annual speech earlier this week. Despite the fact that Xiaomi has yet to comment on the Mix Fold 2’s availability outside of China, it certainly looks impressive.
With an outer display of 6.5 inches and a 120Hz refresh rate, the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 offers an FHD+ resolution and a Samsung E5 AMOLED panel. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus. Upon unfolding the device, the interior Eco OLED screen measures 8.2-inches with a 2.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. An under-display camera and ultra-thin glass are also featured on the interior display. A 1,000 nits peak brightness, Dolby Vision, and TrueColour are all supported by both the interior and outer displays.
Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 is available in black and gold colours. It starts at 8,999 Yuan (about Rs.1,06,500/-) or 256GB of storage. The 512GB and 1TB storage options cost 9,999 Yuan (~Rs.1,18,000/-) and Yuan 11,999 (~Rs.1,41,500/-). Sales of the foldable smartphone begin on August 16th, with pre-orders starting today
