Samsung is about to announce the next set of foldable with Galaxy Z Fold4 & Galaxy Z Flip4 later this year. Ahead of the launch we already got the alleged renders with key specs of the new Galaxy Z Flip4 & Galaxy Z Fold4. Now way ahead of 2023 we have leaks revealing the details about next year’s flagship Galaxy S23 series.

As per the new report, the analyst Kuo reveals that there will be no Exynos variant right from next year. Yes, Samsung will not launch any Galaxy S23 series model with Exynos 2300 SoC next year. So all countries will get the same flagship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

The source confirmed that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S23 series will be powered by a Qualcomm chipset with model number SM8550. The chipset will be built on a 4nm TSMC process & likely to have the marketing name SD 8 Gen 2 SoC.

It is possible that Samsung will work on the 4nm Exynos 2300. But it is possible that the Galaxy S23 will not use the SoC. According to Kuo, the Exynos 2300 is unable to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in all aspects. In line with TSMC’s design guidelines, the SD8G2 has been designed by a US-based chip maker.

In comparison to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1. The SD8G2 is expected to offer better computing power and power efficiency. Since the high-end market doesn’t suffer much from the recession, Qualcomm and TSMC will greatly benefit from this market share increase in 2023.
