Microsoft introduces premium Surface Laptop Studio featuring 11th gen Intel Core i5H/i7H processor.

Microsoft has unveiled the new Surface Laptop Studio, a powerful laptop in the form of a mobile workstation. The gadget has a novel physical factor with a double-hinged display.

The Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio is a brand new product with a brand new idea. The gadget is targeted at creative workers and features a display that can be used as a regular notebook or as a floating tablet.

Display in laptop, tablet, and studio modes with double hinge:

Microsoft enables the display to fold out on a second hinge in the panel’s rear, so it may hover over the keyboard and come closer to the user. This uses a newly designed “Dynamic Woven Hinge”. The Surface Laptop Studio’s display can be folded flat on the keyboard while open, allowing it to be utilized as a high-end tablet.

With the new Surface Slim Pen 2, you can build a “portable, creative drawing board” but also perform other chores and play games. The 14.4 inches 3: 2 display has a 120 Hertz refresh rate. The PixelSense display offers good contrast and a respectable 2400 x 1600 pixel quality, but not exceptional.

Latest high performing 11th gen Intel processor:

Microsoft has installed the latest Intel Core H35 SoCs here, which are mainly designed for gaming laptops and mobile workstations. The Intel Core i5-11300H and i7-11370H have four cores, eight threads, with a base speed of 3.1 and 3.3 GHz with a turbo rate of 4.4 and 4.8 GHz Offer.

The processors use Intel’s latest Xe GPUs and therefore have considerably greater graphics power than prior versions. Microsoft has included a GeForce RTX 3050 Ti graphics card with four gigabytes of dedicated GDDR6 memory in the Surface Laptop Studio i7. A second Nvidia RTX A2000 with 4 GB GDDR6 RAM is available for corporate clients.

Connectivity:

Microsoft’s Laptop Studio comes with 16 or 32 GB of LPDDR4x RAM and a choice of 256 or 512 GB SSDs with capacities ranging from 1 to 2 TB. In Europe, the limit is currently one terabyte. You can’t have a memory card slot, which seems odd given the emphasis on creative users. Instead, there are two USB 4.0 Type-C ports with Thunderbolt 4 compatibility that can connect external devices with high bandwidth.

Other features include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, and up to 19 hours of battery life depending on if an extra GPU is added. The battery capacity is unknown. Interestingly, the SSD may be changed by a trained technician, which Microsoft only allows for business customers.

Extras:

There’s also a Windows Hello-compatible camera and a 1080p camera for video chats. The keyboard is full-size and includes a backlight. The gadget also includes a Precision Haptic Touchpad, which is similar to Apple’s trackpads.

There are also four Quad Omnisonic speakers with Dolby Atmos compatibility, which should provide audio quality hitherto unachievable in Microsoft’s Surface tablets. There are two USB-C ports, a Surface Connect connector, and an audio input/output combo.

In addition to the preloaded Windows 11 Home or Pro. Consumers might purchase the Microsoft Surface Laptop Studio with Windows 10 Pro. This version is likely to be targeted towards businesses.

The Surface Laptop Studio will not be available until early 2022. At least $1599 (Rs.1,18,000/-) in the US.
