Microsoft Andromeda aka the company’s first foldable device which was earlier rumored to be ditched by the company is back in news again. Earlier we had got few concepts renders of the device along with some of the features. Now we have got the Andromeda OS which went live on Microsoft Store ahead of official release revealed some of the details of the device.

As per the source, the new Microsoft Andromeda is a foldable smartphone as per the text strings in the language pack which comes with Dialer so that one can make calls from the device. Further, the Microsoft Andromeda can also record the calls automatically.

The OS files also revealed that the device will sport dual display facing each other along with one external display. The Andromeda OS will support all the apps made to run on Windows 10 OS along with some apps made especially for the OS. It also comes with a double tap to wake the display.

 

The OS leaks also reveal that the new Microsoft Andromeda will arrive with IRIS and fingerprint scanner support. Further, the device can even connect with the external display to get PC desktop-like experience. Sadly, we are still not sure whether the new Microsoft Andromeda will ever launch in 2019 or not.
