Oppo and Vivo cut the trade margin in India, loses 10,000 stores across India.

Oppo and Vivo the most marketed smartphone brand has now reduced the sales margins from 23 to 24% to 14 to 15% for large chains and for small chains down from 15-16% to 5-6%  in India as per a report by Economics Times.This move has made nearly 10,000 offline retailers stop selling the Oppo and Vivo smartphones in India.

The most popular and large chain smartphone retailer in South India Sangeetha has already stopped selling both Oppo and Vivo smartphones in Tamilnadu and might even stop selling the devices soon in other states too.

Oppo spokesperson mentioned that the move is considered to market more mid-range and high-end devices and also mentioned that due to GST they have lost many outlets.Vivo has declined the reports claiming the reduction stores and is planning to launch some more stores by end of 2018.

As per some executive from retailer said that the move has taken due to reduced investment by both the companies.Many researchers claim both Oppo and Vivo will lose a lot of customers due to a reduction in investments.

Smartron tphone P launched in India for price tag of Rs.7999/-

Smartron an Indian based smartphone manufacturer has announced its first budget smartphone with Smartron tphone P  today in India.The Smartron tphone P is priced at Rs.7999 and will be exclusive to Flipkart. The device will go on sale starting from Jan 17.

Smartron tphone P is completely built out of metal and weighs 160 grams. It is 8.9 mm thick.Smartron tphone P  sports 5.2 inches 720p display covered with 2.5D curved glass on top.

It is powered by SD435 SoC coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage which can be expanded via microSD cards up to 128GB.It features 13MP rear camera with an aperture of f/2.2, PDAF, 1.12-micron pixel, and LED flash. It features 5MP selfie camera with f/2.2, 1.12-micron pixel, and LED flash.

The connectivity option include Dual SIM with 4G LTE and VoLTE support (Hybrid SIM), Wifi, Bluetooth 4.1, AGPS, micro USB port, fingerprint scanner, and 3.5 mm audio port.The main highlight of the device is mammoth 5000 mAh battery.The Smartron tphone P is running on Android 7.1.1 out of the box.

Huawei upcoming flagship smartphone with Huawei P20 series is all back in news again. Earlier we had got the 3D CAD renders of the device which showed the triple rear cameras with iPhone X like a design.Today we have spotted the device on HTML5 Test.

As per the benchmarks, the Huawei P20 model is listed as EML-AL00 which will sport an FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080*2244p with an aspect ratio of 18.7:9 which is slightly wider than Samsung’s Infinity display.

The device with an odd aspect ratio might be due to the inclusion of notch and benchmarks was unable to detect that.As per benchmarks, the Huawei P20 series is running on Android 8.0 out of the box.

Samsung upcoming smartphones will have support for FM Radio.

Samsung has now decided to unlock the FM chips for upcoming Samsung smartphones.This move has come after brands like Motorola, Alcatel and LG also announced that they will sell devices with unlocked FM chips.

We saw many flagship devices from many brands locking or disabling the FM Radio feature even if it is capable of receiving signals. So popular online radio service provider NextRadio is planning to partner with Samsung soon.

As of now, we are not sure which will be the first device from Samsung to come with unlocked FM chips but we can expect the Samsung flagship Samsung Galaxy S9 might be the first as it is scheduled to launch at MWC 2018 next month.

LG ThinQ KW9 Smart display is completely made out of plastic and comes with rectangular shape design.It features 8-inch touchscreen display at the front with Merdian Audio powered speakers on both the sides of the display.Above the display, we have the front-facing camera with a shutter button just above it so that one can video call using the Google Duo app.Top of the device there is the power button.

LG ThinQ KW9 Smart display comes with Chromecast support and is powered by Google Assistant.LG ThinQ KW9 Smart display is powered by Qualcomm SD624 Home Hub platform.As of now, there are no details regarding pricing and availability for the LG ThinQ KW9 Smart display.

Apple future iPhones, iPads, TrueDepth Camera components will be made by LG Innotek

Apple is all set to make a deal with LG Innotek for its TrueDepth Camera components for the Face ID feature.As per regulatory filing reveals that LG has invested around 873.7 billion for building the additional facilities for the upcoming iPhone and iPads TrueDepth Camera module.

As per the Investor, Tim Cook has met the LG Innotek CEO Park Jong-Seok in Nov last year and had made the deal final with some investment made by Apple for fabrication facilities.The accurate investment made by Apple is unknown.

As per rumours the upcoming iPads will come with an upgraded version of Apple A11 Bionic SoC with two extra cores and will also include the TrueDepth Camera module.

Samsung Galaxy A8+ comes with an all-new bezel-less design with nearly thin bezels at the front.It is built out of metal and glass and looks premium.Samsung Galaxy A8+ weighs 191 grams and is 8.3 mm thick.

LG G7 listed on LG official support page with support for Quick Charge 4.0

Earlier we had rumours of LG might change the name of the G-series line up. Now, we have mentioned on one of the spotted the LG G7 mentioned on LG official support page.

As per official LG support page, the upcoming LG flagship will be called as the LG G7. Apart from that LG UK support page also mentions the list of devices supporting Qualcomm Quick Charge including the unannounced LG G7 which is mentioned under QC 4.0 support list.As of now, the listing page has been taken down by LG UK.

So this might be the hint that LG will retain the name of G-series lineup and will call the next flagship smartphone as LG G7.LG might unveil their next flagship LG G7 at MWC 2018 held in next month at Berlin.

As per rumours, the LG G7 might be powered by SD845 SoC and will feature OLED panel.
