Good news for all Lenovo K8 series users as Lenovo has promised to give Android Oreo update by June/July 2018.Lenovo launched the Lenovo K8, K8 Plus and K8 Note last month in India which is currently running on Android 7.1.1 and now these devices are getting a major update to Android O.
The sad part is that all users have to wait until June or July next year based on the device you own.As per Lenovo, Lenovo K8 will be the first to get the Android 8.0 update in June 2018 followed by K8 Plus and K8 Note in July 2018.So if you own any one of the above-listed devices you must wait for another 8-9 months to receive the Android O update and Google might announce the next major OS with Android 9 by end of August.
We are not sure why Lenovo is taking so long time to update the devices which already have stock Android UI without any customisation, unlike the K5 or K5 Note which had Vibe UI on top.Anyway, apart from the K8 series there is no mention of any other Lenovo devices which are eligible for Android O update as of now.
Motorola upcoming budget smartphone Moto G6 Play is all set to launch early next year as per leaks.Motorola didn’t launch the Moto G5 Play this year and is now directly jumping to the Moto G6 Play which will be launching with Moto G6, and Moto G6 Plus next year.We are still not sure whether Motorola will call it Play or not as they skipped the Play version this year.Moto G6 Play is the successor to 2016 budget smartphone Moto G4 Play.
The term Play was nothing but Google Play Edition smartphone which had Stock Android UI without any customisation on top. The GPE smartphone users to receive updates directly from Google and was similar to what we saw on Android One series.Some of the smartphones which launched under GPE was Samsung Galaxy S4 GPE, Moto G Play, etc. which were available to purchase via Google Play Store.But Google has already ended this program in early 2015 and only Lenovo and Motorola were launching devices with name Play till date.
Next year will see the return of Play to Lenovo’s Moto G lineup in the form of the Moto G6 Play (alongside the G6 and G6 Plus).
As per rumours Moto G6 Play will be the cheapest smartphone among the Moto G6 series and will have low-end Chip, lesser RAM and storage, and smaller display when compared with other two devices.As of now, we have no details regarding the launch date and availability.
Micromax has now partnered with BSNL for its latest offering with Micromax Bharat 1 feature phone which is a competitor to JioPhone launched by Reliance Jio earlier this year.The Micromax Bharat 1 phone is priced at Rs.2200/- and comes with a new plan of Rs.97 which gives unlimited calls, SMS, free roaming and data for one month whereas the JioPhone one has to do a recharge of min Rs.153 for the same plan.The Micromax Bharat 1 phone will go on sale starting from Oct 20 in all retails outlets across India.The Micromax Bharat 1 is not SIM-locked and can be used with any SIM.Micromax is calling it has Desh ka 4Gfone.
The Micromax Bharat 1 is having similar candy bar style design which we have seen on all feature phones earlier and is completely made out of plastic.It sports a 2.4 inches QVGA display with a resolution of 320*240 pixels.It is powered by Qualcomm made SD205 chip coupled with 512MB RAM and 4GB onboard storage which can be expanded via microSD card.

Huawei finally unveiled after series of leaks and rumors its latest flagship series with Huawei Mate 10, Huawei Mate 10 Pro and Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design in Munich, Germany yesterday.The Huawei Mate 10 is priced at 699 Euros (Rs.54,000/-), Huawei Mate 10 Pro is priced at 799 Euros (Rs.61,000/-) and Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design is priced at 1395 Euros (Rs.1,06,512/-) all three devices will be available from Novembers in some countries, there are no details regarding Indian pricing and availability.The Huawei Mate 10 will be available in three colors with Black, Mocha Brown and Champagne Gold.The Huawei Mate 10 Pro will be available in three colors with Titanium Grey, Midnight Blue, and Mocha Brown whereas the Huawei Mate 10 Porsche Design will be available only in Diamond Black color.

The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is priced at $91(Rs.6000/-) and will go on pre-orders starting from today in China via Mi.com, JD Mall, Lynx and other popular Online retailers. The Xiaomi Redmi 5A is priced exactly the same as last year launched Xiaomi Redmi 4A.The device will be available in three colors with Cherry Powder, Champagne Gold, and Platinum Silver.

HTC recently sent out media invites to all major publication across the world for the upcoming launch event which is scheduled on Nov 2 at Taipei.Earlier we had leaks of HTC U11 Plus which might be launching on Nov 2.HTC U1 Plus is the successor to the HTC U11 which was launched in May this year.
From the press invite, we can see the U symbol with the event details so we can expect HTC U series device will be launching on Nov 2.As per earlier leaks HTC U11 Plus is rumored to have bezel-less 6 inches QHD+ (2880*1440) display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 over the 5.5 inches QHD display on HTC U11.It is powered by same SD835 chip coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM with 64GB/128GB onboard storage and might come with microSD card support.

Qualcomm launched its successor to SD630 with SD636 during 4G/5G Summit in Hong Kong today.The SD636 is a mid-range chip from Qualcomm which is an incremental upgrade from predecessor and will have improved performance.It comes with Kyro 260 CPU which has increased performance by 40% when compared with its predecessor.
The latest SD636 will support the latest trend with 18:9 aspect ratio display with a resolution up to FHD+.SD636 is coupled with 509 GPU which boost the GPU performance by 10% which is slightly more when compared to the predecessor.It also comes with Qualcomm TruePalette and EcoPix features which are integrated into Adreno Visual Processing Subsystem which will help to provide a better viewing experience.
The latest SD636 chip is built on the 14nm FinFET process which is similar to predecessor like SD660 and SD630 which is also based on same 14nm node.With SD636 the manufacturers using earlier launched SD630 and SD660 can easily switch to latest SD636 without any modification.It comes with Qualcomm X12 LTE modem which has peak download speeds up to 600 Mbps.
