One Plus 6, Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei P20 Lite – Which will be your new phone?

In the much-awaited news, Amazon India has made ‘LIVE’ the ‘Notify Me’ page for OnePlus 6 which hints that the highly anticipated flagship killer phone will soon be in India. OnePlus has been exclusively selling its phones on Amazon India ever since its entry to India and the same will continue now as well.  The OnePlus is expected to be available sometime in the month of May 2018.

The ‘Notify Me’ page lets interested customers subscribe to alerts related to OnePlus 6. Customers will be notified via email when the launch date, sale date, and pricing is announced. Amazon will also be sending other details about live stream, launch offers and more.

One Plus has hinted that the OnePlus 6 will come with an edge-to-edge display along with a notch on top similar to the one on the iPhone X. It is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 octa-core SoC, paired with an insane amount of 8GB of RAM and up to mammoth 256GB in terms of storage.

There have been other teasers from OnePlus which have hinted that the phone will come with a glass or ceramic back, gesture control support, water, and dust resistant capabilities which come with wireless charging capabilities. CEO Pete Lau has also shared camera samples shot on the OnePlus 6 dual cameras. The smartphone is also expected to come with wireless charging capabilities.

Select users getting the device

OnePlus is also giving select users a chance to try out the smartphone before anyone else, along with an opportunity to review it. OnePlus 6 is expected to run Android 8.1 out of the box.

The price still remains a matter of speculation but it is hoped that price isn’t going to be a huge difference from its predecessor as value pricing has been one of the biggest advantages of the OnePlus brand. For more news about the OnePlus 6, watch this space.

Huawei P20 Pro

Huawei P20 Pro and P20 Lite are the other two phones from another Chinese heavyweight, Huawei, which are grabbing eyeballs. Amazon Prime users got early access to the sale of the Huawei P20 series that went live at 12 pm on May 2.  The sale is supposed to last until May 7 and there is currently no update on when the non-Prime users will get to purchase the phones. The P20 Pro is priced at Rs. 64,999, while the P20 Lite bears a price tag of Rs. 19,999 in the country. It may be noted that Huawei has also continued its ‘Amazon-only’ policy of selling phones exclusively on Amazon in India.

Asus to launch first Android Oreo Go OS smartphone with Asus Zenfone Live L1.

Asus will soon launch a budget smartphone running on Android Oreo Go OS with Asus Zenfone Live L1 in Indonesia.The new Asus Zenfone Live L1 is the new smartphone of the Live series.The Asus Zenfone Live L1 will come in Rose Pink, Midnight Black, Blue, and White and as of now, there are no details about the pricing and availability.

The Asus Zenfone Live L1 sports 5.5 inches HD+ IPS LCD display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 (1440*720p).It is powered by SD425 SoC clocked at 1.4 GHz coupled with 1GB/2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage with a dedicated microSD card slot which can expand storage up to 2TB.

New set of live images of the OnePlus 6 leaked will feature iPhone X like notch.

OnePlus 6 is all set to officially launch on May 16 in London and with just a few weeks remaining, we have got the new set of live images of the upcoming OnePlus 6 leaked online.

As per the new images, we can see the all-new OnePlus 6 with iPhone X like notch which is smaller in size and carry the selfie shooter, earpiece, and sensor.We have a nearly bezel-less screen with 90% screen to body ratio.

Sadly, there are no images leaked showing the rear view of the device.But we have an image showing the bottom of the device which comes with USB Type-C port, speaker mesh, and 3.5 mm audio jack.We have the alert slider with volume rockers on the left and power key on the right.

We are still confused as Xiaomi always shares Redmi-brand smartphone under Redmi Fan page and now they have shared the new teaser on Xiaomi fan page which hints us that both the products are going to launch soon.There is nothing much details about the launch date has been mentioned in the post.

LG finally unveils the LG G7 ThinQ comes with deep AI integration.

After series of renders leaks, LG officially announces the new LG G7 ThinQ in New York.This time the device will be called the LG G7 ThinQ over the LG G7.The new LG G7 ThinQ will be available in New Platinum Gray, New Aurora Black, New Moroccan Blue and Raspberry Rose colors and will roll out starting from North America, Europe, Latin America, and Asia.As of now, there are no details about the pricing and exact date of availability.

The new LG G7 ThinQ comes with all new bezel-less design this time which also carries iPhone X like notch display.It is made out of glass and metal similar to the predecessor.The device also comes with MIL-STD 810G rating which makes the device evaluate the performance of equipment in harsh environments.

Nokia X hands-on Video leaked to come with glossy back.

Earlier we had few live images of the device which was showcased in China ahead of official launch which is now going to happen on May 16.Now we have got the hands-on video of the upcoming Nokia X leaked online.

As per the leaked video, we have another device having a notch similar to iPhone X but smaller in size.It comes with a bezel-less display on the sides and thicker bottom bezel with Nokia branding.The notch comes with selfie shooter, sensor, and earpiece.

The back of the device has a glossy finish which might be plastic or glass we are still not sure about that.The rear of the device features Dual camera setup aligned vertically with fingerprint scanner just below it and Nokia branding.

Sadly, this video doesn’t reveal the specs of the device but as per earlier leaks, the Nokia X will be called as Nokia X6 and will come in two variants one with MediaTek P60 SoC other with SD636 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM.

Apple iPhone SE 2 protective case and tempered glass leaked.

Yesterday, we have got the 3D renders of the upcoming Apple iPhone SE 2 leaked.Today we have the new protective case renders leaked with live images of the tempered glass.We are still not sure about the new leaks is legit or fake but can be the final design for the device.

As per the leaked renders, we can see that the new Apple iPhone SE 2 will come with a large notch display similar to iPhone X.The notch carries selfie camera, earpiece, and sensors.On the rear, we have a single camera with Dual Tone Dual LED flash and no Touch ID or fingerprint scanner.

Sadly, there is no 3.5 mm audio jack too and comes with just lightning port on the bottom of the device.On the top, we have the power button and on the left, the alert slider and volume up & down keys.As the device is protected by the cover we are unable to see the device design but as per earlier leaks, it will come with same old iPhone 5 design.

Apart from that, we even got the live images of tempered glass for the alleged Apple iPhone SE 2.As per the image, we can see there is cut out for the notch on the top which confirms that device will come with iPhone X like a notch.Anyway, Apple iPhone SE 2 might get launch anytime this month or early June.

As per the leaked renders, we can see the upcoming LG G7 ThinQ looks similar to earlier leaked renders with a notch on the display and nearly bezel-less display on the side.There is rear-mounted fingerprint scanner just below the Dual camera setup.The LG G7 ThinQ will be available in three colors with Black, Blue, and Red.

As per the source, the LG G7 ThinQ will sport 6.1 inches AMOLED QHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 having a resolution of 3120*1440p with the max brightness of 1000 cd/m^2, the support to DCI-P3.The device also comes with 100% RGB Color Gamut and will have 30% lower power consumption.

All this is fueled by lower 3000 mAh battery with Qualcomm QC 4.0 support and will run on Android 8.1 out of the box.The LG G7 ThinQ is rumored to cost €680 (Rs.54,500/-) in Europe.

Samsung SM-G885 passes through FCC in the US.

Earlier we had spotted the device with the model number Samsung SM-G8850 in GeekBench and was rumored to be called as Samsung Galaxy A8 Star in China. We also got another smartphone with Samsung SM-G8750 which was rumored to be called the Samsung Galaxy Dream Lite and will be exclusive to China.

Today, we have spotted a new device with model number Samsung SM-G885/DS has passed through FCC certification in the US.As per the documents, the SM-G885/DS is DUal SIM smartphone and comes with connectivity options like Bluetooth, FM Radio, and NFC.

The device is further rumored to be the Samsung Galaxy S9 Mini which was also rumored earlier but was renamed to Samsung Galaxy Dream Lite in China.So probably the Samsung SM-G885/DS might be the international variant and is powered 2.2 GHz chipset probably the Exynos 7885 SoC.

Two separate patent infringement cases filed against Apple.

After Qualcomm, we have two new patent infringement cases filed against Apple one is for the Dual camera on the iPhone X and other is for DND while driving which prevents the user from receiving text or making calls.

As per the case filing, first one is filed by Israel Company Corephotonics at Northern California District Court for using their Dual camera setup technology on the iPhone X and another one by Allied Signal at Eastern Texas District Court for DND while driving.

As per the filing by Corephotonics, Apple has used their patent dealing with Miniature Telephoto Lens Assembly which has been implemented in iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8 Plus, and iPhone X.As per the company, the telephoto lens used on iPhone X is smaller in size which makes it fit on the smartphone camera module and provides great images under different lighting condition.The company uses both the cameras on the rear to offer better digital and optical zoom.

As per filing by Allied Signal, Apple has infringed four of their patents and company deals with when a velocity of the device matches with the vehicle it automatically disables notification and other services but will allow messages which have marked urgent.It also automatically allow calls whose name is on the contact list or calls from an unknown number which have been received in short span of time and the user calls again it will be marked as urgent.All of these features were introduced in iOS11 last year and the company claims that four of the patents were infringed by Apple.
