vivo has officially announced that the V70 and V70 Elite will launch in India on February 19, following a series of teasers. The two phones share most of their core specs but target slightly different performance tiers.

The V70 Elite uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, while the regular V70 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4. Both feature a 6.59-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 5,000 nits peak brightness.

On the camera side, each phone includes a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, a 50MP Sony IMX766 main camera, and a 50MP selfie shooter on the front. The design package is rounded out by a metal frame, slim bezels, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, along with an IP69 rating for enhanced durability.

Power comes from a large 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired fast charging. Out of the box, the V70 series runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6 and is promised 4 years of major OS updates and 6 years of security patches, making it a long-term option for buyers looking for a future-proof mid-range phone.
