Samsung has started teasing its new Galaxy F70 lineup for India, and we now have a confirmed launch date along with some key details for the first model – the Galaxy F70e.
Launch date and availability
The Galaxy F70e is scheduled to make its debut in India on February 9. Once it launches, it will be sold through Samsung’s official online store and Flipkart. It’s also expected to be available at offline retail outlets, though Samsung hasn’t yet provided details on that.
Design and colors
Samsung is going with a more stylish approach on the back of the phone, using a leather-like textured rear panel. Buyers will be able to choose between two colour options: Limelight Green and Spotlight Blue.
Cameras
On the back, the Galaxy F70e will feature a dual-camera setup consisting of:
- a 50MP primary sensor, and
- a 2MP depth sensor.
For selfies and video calls, the phone will come with an 8MP front camera housed inside a waterdrop-style notch.
Display
Samsung has confirmed that the device will sport a 120Hz display, promising smoother scrolling and animations compared to standard 60Hz screens. The panel will reach up to 800 nits of brightness, which should be sufficient for decent outdoor visibility. The official images also reveal relatively thick bezels around the display.
Battery
Powering the Galaxy F70e is a sizable 6,000mAh battery, which should translate to strong endurance in day-to-day use. Samsung hasn’t yet disclosed the charging speed or charger details, so we’ll have to wait for more specifics on that front.
More info coming soon
While Samsung has outlined the phone’s display, camera, and battery features, some key specifications – particularly the chipset and charging details – are still under wraps. The company is expected to share more information as we get closer to the February 9 launch.
