The main features of what looks to be the Vivo S50 Pro Mini have been made public via a recent leak that appeared on Weibo.
Since the number “4” is seen as a bad omen in various Asian countries, including China, the hashtag used by tipster Smart Pikachu in the tweet above implies that the next Vivo phone in the S-series would be called the Vivo S50 rather than the Vivo S40.
A forthcoming S50-series phone will feature a 6.3-inch flat screen with a new aspect ratio, a Dimensity 9400 series processor, and a triple camera unit with a periscope telephoto camera, according to the source. According to reports, the engineering prototype has an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor built into the screen.
The tipster has not revealed the device’s ultimate name. It seems to be a successor to the Vivo S30 Pro Mini, though, given the size of the display. It is unclear, though, if it will be called the Vivo S50 Pro Mini or simply the Vivo S50.
Regarding the debut, the Vivo S50 is anticipated to go live in China in November of this year.
