Samsung’s Galaxy A17 has been offered by several European stores before its official debut. The newest Galaxy A-series model comes with several significant improvements over its predecessor.
Galaxy A17 5G:
The new Galaxy A17 5G sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The notch carries a 13MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. On the back, the Galaxy A17 features triple-rear cameras with a 50MP main shooter with f/1.8 aperture, along with a 5MP ultra-wide & 2MP depth sensor with an aperture of f/2.4 with OIS and LED flash.
The Exynos 1330 SoC powers the Galaxy A17 5G. The device is coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot. All this is packed with a 5000 mAh battery with 25W fast charging support. It supports dual-band AC WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.
It runs on Android 15 with One UI 7 on top. Further, the device also features a fingerprint scanner on the side. Six major Android updates and six years of security patch support stood out to us most.
This time, the Galaxy A17 5G is also IP54 rated, making it water-resistant. The official Samsung website confirms the Galaxy A17 5G will be available in Black, Blue, and Grey colours. Surprisingly, in Europe at least, the charger comes with the package. As we can see, the European plug is being used by this charger.
With the Galaxy A17, Samsung is also incorporating several AI features. Gemini is integrated into this and can be accessed via the power button. Circle to Search and Cross App AI, both of which are Gemini-powered.

Galaxy A17 with 4GB/128GB costs €230 (Rs.23,500/-) and 8GB/256GB at €309 (Rs.31,400/-) in Spain. Will soon land in India next.
