The camera on Vivo’s upcoming standard flagship may receive a significant improvement. A new camera sensor is coming to the basic Vivo X300, and it could come from Samsung.

The most recent rumour was spread by @nakajimegame, a tipster on X (previously Twitter). He asserts in the tweet that a new Samsung ISOCELL camera would be included in the Chinese tech giant’s upcoming basic flagship model. According to reports, the sensor in question is known as the ISOCELL HBP. This camera features a 1/1.4-inch sensor with a 200MP resolution. The Sony IMX921 camera, which has a 50MP resolution and a 1/1.56-inch sensor size, is therefore smaller than the Vivo X200.

In other words, the next generation model should have greater details and lower light performance. Notably, the ISOCELL HP9 (200MP, 1/1.4-inch), the 200MP periscope telephoto camera on the Vivo X200 Pro, shares many similarities with the ISOCELL HBP moniker. In other words, Vivo could be developing a modified telephoto shooter for the Vivo X300’s primary camera.

In addition, according to the source, the Vivo X300’s telephoto shooter may feature a 50MP periscope lens with a 1/1.95-inch sensor—likely the same Sony IMX882/LYT600 camera that was previously included in the previous generation model. Last but not least, the next flagship series is likely to continue the Zeiss alliance. Remember that this is still an unverified claim, so for the time being, take this news with a grain of salt and return for more.
