With the Galaxy S26 Edge and S26 Ultra showing up in the IMEI database, the first official indications of Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series have surfaced. SammyPolice discovered the listings, a preliminary but trustworthy sign that the new Samsung flagships are being developed on time for a January 2026 release.
The IMEI listings display model numbers SM-S947U for the Galaxy S26 Edge and SM-S948U and SM-S948N for the S26 Ultra, which are aimed at the US and South Korean markets, respectively.
The S25 Edge’s sales momentum seems to have been affected by the delayed rollout, and reports indicate that the phone is not performing up to Samsung’s standards. However, given how early the S26 Edge has surfaced in regulatory filings, it appears more likely that Samsung will switch the Plus model out for the Edge in 2026, which could boost sales of the incredibly thin flagship.
The previous report also implied that Samsung may revert to using the Plus model in the S26 series if sales of the S25 Edge fall short of the company’s goals.
