The Vivo X Fold 5 may launch in India next month, but in China earlier this month. The rumour mill has already revealed many of its key specifications. According to a new leak by tipster Panda is Bald, the Vivo X Fold 5 will be cheaper than its predecessor, the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro.
Last year, Vivo X Fold 3 Pro was priced at 9,999 Yuan ($1,390) in China. The upcoming X Fold 5 will be more affordable.
Oppo Find N5 and Honor Magic V5 are expected to compete with Vivo X Fold 5v in China. Oppo Find N5 is priced at 8,999 Yuan ($1,250), while Magic V5 has not yet launched. It’s possible that the X Fold 5’s pricing will be similar to the Find N5.
Vivo X Fold5:
The new Vivo X Fold3 Pro will sport a massive 8.03-inch internal QHD+ AMOLED (2,480 x 2200p) LTPO 3.0 display with a 120Hz refresh rate. A secondary 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED (2748 x 1172 pixels) display with a 120Hz refresh rate will also be available. Sadly, the device still features a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC now powers the new Vivo X Fold5 with 12GB/16GB RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB storage space. The device features triple-rear cameras with Zeiss branding and T* coating. It has a 50MP primary Sony IMX921 sensor, OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor. There is a 50MP Sony IMX882 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, 60x zoom & OIS support. The internal and external display features a 32MP selfie shooter under the punch-hole notch.
The connectivity options include dual SIM with dual 4G LTE and 5G (Dual-mode support), A-GPS, GPS, GLONASS, Wifi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, and USB Type-C port. It also features an IR blaster, dual speakers, an X-axis linear motor, a glass back, and an IPX8 certification.
The Vivo X Fold5 will pack a 6000 mAh battery with 90W fast wired and 30W wireless charging support. It runs on Android 15 OS with Origin Ocean OS 5.0 on top. When unfolded, it will be 4.3 mm thick; when folded, it will be 9.33 mm thick.
