There were rumors that the Pixel 10 series would debut earlier than expected. According to an exclusive invite to a Pixel Superfans event in London, the next-generation phones could debut sooner than the Pixel 9 in August 2024. We’re all talking about Android 16 now that it’s coming.

On June 27, 2025, Google has invited Pixel Superfans to a 90-minute “Pixel Penthouse” event in London. Twenty-five lucky attendees will get a preview of “pre-release Pixel devices and features.” Given the lack of other major Pixel hardware, it’s safe to assume the Pixel 10 series will be the main event.

This event, dubbed Google’s “exclusive pre-launch event” for 2025, indicates the Pixel 10 lineup, likely including the Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, and 10 Pro Fold, could launch as early as June or July, a significant shift from August.

It is also speculated that Android 16 will be released at an accelerated pace. In Q2 2025, Google will release a stable version of Android 15 much earlier than it did in Q15. With a Pixel 10 launch expected in July, the new OS will accompany a TSMC-built Tensor G5 chip on a 3nm process for better performance. During the Superfan event, Googlers will be available for Q&A sessions, and Pixel-themed goodies will be given away.
