Xiaomi looks set to push its Redmi Note lineup even further with the upcoming Redmi Note 16 series. A new leak from tipster Digital Chat Station claims that a device currently in testing packs a huge 10,000mAh battery, 100W fast charging, and a 200MP main camera.

The leak doesn’t name the phone outright, but speculation strongly points to it being part of the Redmi Note 16 family, matching an earlier November rumour that also mentioned a 200MP sensor for the series.

If accurate, this would be a notable jump over the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which tops out at a 50MP main camera, 50MP telephoto (2.5x optical zoom), and 8MP ultrawide, and uses a smaller battery. A 10,000mAh cell would also be the biggest ever in a Redmi or Xiaomi phone, beating the Redmi Turbo 5 Max’s 9,000mAh unit.

There are still plenty of unknowns, including how Xiaomi will manage the extra bulk, weight, and heat from such a large battery and fast charging, and whether these specs will be limited to one high-end variant or spread across the lineup.

Details should become clearer as we get closer to the expected launch window around August 2026, so more leaks and confirmations are likely on the way.
