Xiaomi has just brought the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra to India, and now another model from the series is reportedly on the way. The Xiaomi 17T is expected to launch in the country in the coming months, further expanding the lineup. Earlier leaks from tipster Abhishek Yadav suggested a release in late April or May, while a more recent report from tipster Debayan Roy (Gadgetsdata) claims the phone could arrive within the next two to three months.
According to Roy, Xiaomi is likely to price the 17T at around ₹55,000 in India, a figure that may already account for the usual introductory offers and discounts the company provides during its initial sales window. This would place the device in the upper mid-range segment, just below ultra-premium flagships. Xiaomi is also rumoured to be working on a higher-end Xiaomi 17T Pro, though current indications suggest that only the standard 17T will officially launch in India, with the Pro model possibly remaining limited to other markets.
Specs:
Both the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro are expected to feature Leica-tuned cameras, continuing Xiaomi’s partnership with the renowned photography brand. The rear camera setup on both phones is tipped to include a 50MP main sensor, a 12MP secondary sensor, and a 50MP telephoto lens, though the actual hardware for the primary and telephoto units may differ between the two models. The Pro variant is also rumored to add a periscope telephoto camera for improved zoom performance. On the front, both devices could come with a 32MP selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Xiaomi 17T is said to run on the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset and pack a sizable 6,500mAh battery with support for 67W fast charging, aiming to balance performance with strong battery life. The Xiaomi 17T Pro, meanwhile, is tipped to use the more powerful MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. Several reports also suggest that the Pro model could be closely based on the upcoming Redmi K90 Ultra, which is expected to debut in China in April. If that’s accurate, the 17T Pro might feature a 6.8-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, along with an 8,500mAh battery, 100W fast charging, an integrated cooling fan, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor.
The phones are rumored to carry model numbers 2602DPT53G/I and 2602EPTC0G, with the Pro version potentially offering a metal frame and strong water resistance for added durability. As of now, Xiaomi has not confirmed any details about the 17T series, so all information remains based on leaks and early reports. Pricing, specifications, and launch plans could still change by the time the company makes the lineup official.
