Xiaomi’s next flagship series may already have provisional price tags in India, well ahead of launch. Tipster Abhishek Yadav claims the Xiaomi 17 could start at around ₹80,000, while the Xiaomi 17 Ultra may be priced near ₹1,25,000.

Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed these figures, so they should be treated with caution, like any early leak. Even so, the numbers suggest the brand is planning to push further into the ultra-premium segment.

For comparison, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra launched at ₹1,09,999 for its single 16GB + 512GB variant, and the regular Xiaomi 15 started at ₹64,999 for the 12GB + 512GB model. If the leak is accurate, the standard Xiaomi 17 would see about a 23% jump over the Xiaomi 15, while the Ultra model would be roughly 14% more expensive than the 15 Ultra.

This would place the Xiaomi 17 Ultra squarely against top-end offerings from Samsung and Apple, where buyers look beyond raw specs to factors such as brand perception, software refinement, long-term update support, and the overall ecosystem of devices and services.

Pricing pressure is also being felt across the tech industry due to an ongoing memory shortage, which has driven up component costs and, by extension, consumer devices like smartphones.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi 17 itself appears increasingly likely to launch in India. The phone has been spotted in the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) certification database, a common indicator that an Indian release is in the works.

As for timing, Xiaomi is expected to broadly mirror the Xiaomi 15 series schedule. Based on earlier information from the same tipster, the Xiaomi 17 and 17 Ultra could be unveiled around March 2026.

If these leaked prices hold, Indian buyers should be prepared for Xiaomi’s most ambitious—and costliest—flagship lineup so far.
