Samsung is reportedly planning a notable display upgrade for its next premium A-series phone, the Galaxy A57. According to a new report, the device will feature a flexible OLED panel for the first time in the lineup, supplied in part by Chinese display maker CSOT.
This would be a significant shift for Samsung, which has so far relied entirely on its in-house Samsung Display for panels on the A-series. While Samsung Display will still provide the majority of screens for the Galaxy A57, CSOT will join as an additional supplier of flexible OLED panels.
For reference, the current Galaxy A56 uses a 6.7-inch AMOLED display and relies on rigid OLED technology. Moving to a flexible OLED panel on the A57 is expected to enable slimmer and more uniform side bezels, giving the phone a more premium look and feel, closer to Samsung’s flagship models.
The same report also claims that CSOT will supply flexible OLED screens for the upcoming Galaxy S26 FE, suggesting a broader diversification of Samsung’s display sourcing strategy beyond its own Samsung Display division.
Galaxy A57 rumoured specs:
The Samsung Galaxy A57 is rumored to make its debut in February 2026. Under the hood, it’s expected to be powered by the Exynos 1680 chipset. The phone is also said to support 45W fast charging and feature a triple rear camera setup.
The primary camera is reportedly a 50MP Sony IMX906 sensor, complemented by a 13MP ultrawide camera and a 5MP macro unit. These specs point to a solid camera package aimed at upper mid-range buyers.
If these reports pan out, the Galaxy A57 could be one of the more substantial upgrades in the A-series in recent years, bringing a more premium display, faster charging, and an improved camera system compared to its predecessor.
