realme has officially confirmed that it’s teaming up once again with renowned industrial designer Naoto Fukasawa for the upcoming realme 16 Pro series. After earlier collaborations on devices like the realme X, X2 Pro, and GT lineup, the company is now introducing a fresh visual identity it calls the “Urban Wild Design.”
Design concept and materials
With the 16 Pro series, realme aims to merge elements of nature with a modern, city-inspired look. The idea behind “Urban Wild” is to translate textures and sensations you’d associate with natural environments—such as wheat fields or smooth river stones—into the phone’s overall feel and appearance.

A major highlight this time is the use of a new bio-based organic silicone material. It’s derived from renewable, plant-based straw and is designed to offer a soft, comfortable touch while still being tough enough for everyday use. According to realme, this material resists ageing, dirt, bacterial growth, and surface wear, helping the phone maintain its finish over time.
The phones adopt what the company calls an “All-Nature Curve” design. The curves run from the rear panel through to the display, aiming to create a continuous, flowing profile. Even with these design tweaks, the handset still maintains a slim body, measuring 8.49mm thick.
“Master Design” colour options

realme is bringing a set of “Master Design” colourways to the 16 Pro series, created using multi-layer and multi-dimensional colour tuning. Availability will differ between the 16 Pro+ and 16 Pro models.
- Master Gold: Inspired by the look and texture of wheat, this finish will be offered on both the realme 16 Pro+ and the standard realme 16 Pro.
- Master Grey: This colour draws inspiration from smooth, river-worn pebbles and will be exclusive to the realme 16 Pro+.
- Camellia Pink: Influenced by festive Indian florals, this shade will also be limited to the 16 Pro+ variant.
- Orchid Purple: Drawing from the energy and vibrancy of Indian celebrations, this colour will be unique to the realme 16 Pro.
Camera housing and build details
Around the back, the phones feature what realme calls a “Metal Mirror Camera Deco.” The camera island uses Luxury PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) treatment to achieve a glossy, mirror-like finish. On top of that, a nanoscale metal coating is applied to improve its resistance to scratches.
The camera arrangement is set inside a “Volcanic Camera Deco” structure that visually flows into the rear panel. This is paired with a metallic mid-frame to balance the textured back with a more robust structural frame, aiming for both aesthetics and durability.
Launch timeline
realme has confirmed that the 16 Pro series will feature its new LumaColor IMAGE tech alongside the Urban Wild Design language. However, a precise launch date has not been shared yet. The lineup is expected to debut in early January 2026.
