Oppo’s upcoming flagship, the Find X9 Ultra, is shaping up to be a significant upgrade over the Find X8 Ultra, particularly in the battery department. While Oppo hasn’t shared an official launch date yet, one of its executives has already hinted at the new phone’s battery size.
Responding to a comment on Weibo, Oppo’s Zhou Yibao revealed that the Find X9 Ultra will feature a battery with a capacity of more than 7,000 mAh.
For comparison, the Find X8 Ultra comes with a 6,100 mAh battery, so crossing the 7,000 mAh mark would be a significant step up. There’s even a good chance the Find X9 Ultra could match or exceed 7,500 mAh, given that the recently launched Find X9 Pro is equipped with a 7,500 mAh battery.
The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is expected to launch in April 2026 and is rumoured to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. On the back, it will reportedly house a quad-camera setup that includes a 200 MP primary sensor, an ultrawide camera, a 3x optical zoom periscope telephoto, and a second periscope telephoto with an even longer optical zoom range.
Affordable flagship under the Find X9 series:
Oppo is reportedly preparing to expand its Find X9 family with yet another high-end model, this time centred around a dual 200MP camera setup.
So far, the Find X9 lineup is expected to include the Find X9 Ultra and the Find X9s next year. Now, a fresh leak claims that Oppo is also working on a more affordable device that still packs flagship-grade hardware, including two 200MP rear cameras.
The information comes from a well-known tipster, Digital Chat Station, who says Oppo’s new phone will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500+ chipset. On the back, both the main and telephoto cameras are said to feature Samsung’s 1/1.56-inch 200MP HP5 sensor, a notable upgrade over the usual zoom camera hardware.
While DCS doesn’t specify the device’s name, the specifications strongly suggest it belongs to the Find X9 series. However, it’s unlikely to be the Find X9 Ultra itself. Previous rumours point to the Ultra sporting a 200MP telephoto module alongside three 50MP cameras, giving it a slightly different configuration.
For reference, the existing Find X9 and Find X9 Pro already target the premium segment. The Find X9 5G is available with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, while the Find X9 Pro bumps that up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
If this new dual-200MP model launches as expected, it would give Oppo yet another flagship-tier option in the Find X9 line, potentially at a lower price point than the Ultra while still offering cutting-edge zoom and main camera performance.
