The iQOO 15 made its debut in China in October, and about a month later, it started rolling out to other markets. Now, vivo’s sub-brand is reportedly preparing a more powerful sibling: the iQOO 15 Ultra. This information comes from tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, who previously mentioned the device back in October. The latest leak brings a new batch of alleged details.

According to the source, the iQOO 15 Ultra is expected to launch before February 17 and will primarily target gamers, in line with earlier rumours. The phone is said to feature an active cooling fan and dedicated shoulder triggers to enhance gameplay. Notably, the built-in fan is tipped to be the largest ever integrated into a smartphone, promising the best thermal performance we’ve seen so far on a handheld device.

iQOO will reportedly go as far as to claim that this cooling setup allows the 15 Ultra to achieve performance levels close to those of upcoming next-gen chipsets like MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6.

On the display front, the iQOO 15 Ultra is rumored to use the same top-tier Samsung-made panel found on the standard iQOO 15. This is the same screen that many expect to see on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra as well. Users can look forward to a 6.85-inch display with a 1440 x 3168 resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and a stunning peak brightness of 6,000 nits. Under the hood, the phone is said to run on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
