Realme is preparing to launch its new affordable smartwatch, the Realme Watch 5, in India. The company recently teased the device, revealing that it will soon be available in the country. Its design hints at inspiration from the Apple Watch Ultra, especially when seen in recent teasers. While the official launch date remains under wraps, a dedicated microsite for the Watch 5 has already appeared on Flipkart, signalling that the launch isn’t far off. So far, the Flipkart page hasn’t provided more specifics about the device.
Given the European release in September, we can expect the Indian version to offer similar features. The Realme Watch 5 sports a 1.95-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 390 x 450 pixels and delivers up to 600 nits of brightness. Over 300 watch faces are available, and users can benefit from Bluetooth calling via Bluetooth 5.4 support in the Realme Link app.
Powering the smartwatch is a 460mAh battery that promises up to two weeks of use on a single charge. Health and fitness features include 108 sports modes, heart rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, and sleep analysis. Additional highlights are camera shutter control, Find My Phone functionality, a flashlight, Always On Display mode, and a world clock. The Watch 5 was introduced in Germany at a price of 70 Euros, so Indian customers can likely expect an affordable price when it officially launches.
Keep an eye out for more details as Realme gets ready to bring the Watch 5 to the Indian market.
