Ice Universe reports that Samsung will launch its first tri-foldable next month. While Samsung has been relatively secretive about the phone, the news comes with some key details.
When opened, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will measure 4.2mm thick; when closed, it will measure 14mm thick. It measures 4.2mm when opened and 8.9mm when closed (note that the hinge leaves a small gap, which adds to the thickness).
It will have a 6.5″ cover display and a larger 10″ inner display, which will have a wide-screen aspect ratio, unlike the Z Fold7’s square-ish 8″ display.
There will be three cells in the phone’s battery, one in each segment, with a capacity of 5,600 mAh. There are two cells in the Z Fold7’s 4,400mAh battery.
According to the Korean publication The Chosun, the timing and details about the phone are accurate. There will be limited quantities of the Z TriFold, and it will be pretty expensive (no surprise). You may not even be able to splurge on one since it will only be available in select markets.
Samsung has officially shown only prototypes of the Galaxy Z TriFold so far. Samsung will launch the Galaxy Z TriFold on December 5, according to this latest information.
