With Ricoh, Realme enters a long-term strategic partnership as the latest smartphone brand to partner with the iconic imaging brand. This deal has apparently been in the works for four years, culminating in the launch of the Realme GT 8 Pro, the first device to feature co-developed features and extensive camera customisation.

A custom-made camera user interface mimics the look and feel of Ricoh GR-series cameras, with innovations in optics, colour algorithms, imaging tones, and UI design. The Realme GT 8 Pro will also come with custom photographic film filters, five imaging tones, and a focus on street photography.

On October 14, both brands will host an event to discuss the partnership in more detail. The Realme GT 8 Pro is expected to feature a 50MP LYT-700 camera with a 1/1.56″ focal length and a 200MP ISOCELL HP5 periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.56″ focal length.

Realme GT 8 will launch in China later this month, with the international launch scheduled for November.
