Oppo and MediaTek announced that the Find X9 series will be the first smartphones to feature MediaTek’s latest and greatest Dimensity 9500 SoC, announced late in September. However, that bit of information isn’t particularly new.

Next month, the Find X9 series will be available in India. We already knew Oppo would announce the phone in China on October 16, but now we know it will arrive in India by November. Between those two events, a global premiere might take place.

This chipset will deliver a significant leap in performance and efficiency. With a main core clocked at 4.21 GHz, it uses the third-generation All-Big-Core architecture. Compared with the previous generation, the company promises a 17% increase in CPU performance and a 55% reduction in peak power consumption. According to ARM, the new G1-Ultra GPU delivers 33% more performance while using 42% less power.

The Find X9 series will feature a customised cooling solution to maintain high performance during long workloads, Oppo said.
