Samsung has unveiled the Galaxy F17 5G in the Indian market as the follow-up to last year’s Galaxy F16 5G. This latest iteration slims down the design for a sleeker, more lightweight feel, sports a fresh camera layout, adds rugged Gorilla Glass Victus shielding, and packs Samsung’s own Exynos chipset—all while sticking with the familiar screen dimensions, power cell, and imaging hardware from its predecessor.

Galaxy F17 5G:

The new Galaxy F17 5G sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The notch carries a 13MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. On the back, the Galaxy F17 features triple rear cameras, including a 50MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, both equipped with OIS and an LED flash.

The Exynos 1330 SoC powers the Galaxy F17 5G. The device is coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot. All this is packed with a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. It supports dual-band AC WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

It runs on Android 15 with One UI 7 on top. Further, the device also features a fingerprint scanner on the side. Six major Android updates and six years of security patch support stood out to us the most.

This time, the Galaxy F17 5G is also IP54 rated, making it water-resistant. The official Samsung website confirms the Galaxy F17 5G will be available in Violet Pop and Neo Black colours.

With the Galaxy F17, Samsung is also incorporating several AI features. Gemini is integrated into this and can be accessed via the power button. Circle to Search and Cross App AI, both of which are powered by Gemini.
