A few months ago, a rumoured render of the Moto Edge 70 surfaced online, displaying a design that is quite typical of the Edge series. The phone appears to be very different from the leaked photo by Evan Blass, which purports to be an authentic image of the device.
The Motorola Edge 70 is now available. There were no lime green accents on the four raised circles on the camera island (three cameras and one LED flash) or on the corresponding button on the side, as shown in the previous picture.
Additionally, it appears that this model will feature a flat display, or at least one that isn’t nearly as curved as the Edge 60 display, but this is difficult to notice. The small square on the back indicates that Motorola and Pantone have teamed up once again to select this colour, and additional shades are expected to be available.
“Impossibly thin and incredibly tough” is the tagline that interests us the most. The competition between Apple and Samsung (as well as others) has sparked a new trend toward thinness. The Edge 60 wasn’t particularly noteworthy in this area, as it was only 7.9 mm thick (or 8.2 mm, depending on the colour you select).
Actually, Motorola doesn’t have many phones that are anywhere near 7mm, let alone smaller than that, except for its Razr foldables.
