Leaks indicate that the 16 series will launch before the Xiaomi 15 series, which debuted in October of last year with the Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro. The Xiaomi 16 models are expected to go on sale in the second-to-last week of September, according to a recent article by Digital Chat Station. More precisely, DCS predicts that the Xiaomi 16 will go on sale between September 24 and 26.
This is no accident, as on September 23, Qualcomm will introduce the Snapdragon 8 Gen Elite 2 (or 8 Elite Gen 5)—the company’s next flagship processor in the 8 series.
The Xiaomi 16, 16 Pro small, and 16 Pro Max are among the three gadgets we anticipate launching this month, according to the latest rumours. Later in the year, the 16 Ultra will make another appearance on the market.
The Pro Max is anticipated to have a 6.8-inch diagonal screen, while the vanilla 16 and 16 Pro mini are expected to have 6.3-inch displays. Qualcomm’s most recent flagship Snapdragon 8-series processor will be included in all Xiaomi 16 series phones. According to rumours, the new 16 Pro mini will have a 6,300 mAh cell, while the vanilla variant would have a 6,800 mAh battery. Faster 100W charging is another rumoured feature of the Xiaomi 16 series.
