Xiaomi introduces new Redmi 15 5G in India featuring massive 7000 mAh battery.

A new low-cost smartphone from Xiaomi has been formally introduced to the Indian market. This latest model, the Redmi 15 5G variant, offers adequate performance at an affordable price, together with a long battery life and a smooth display.

Redmi 15 5G:

The new Redmi 15 5G will feature a 6.9-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display. The display also features Corning Gorilla Glass protection, an oleophobic coating & 144Hz refresh rate. It is powered by a Snapdragon 6s Gen 3 SoC coupled with 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB/256GB  storage.

It features a 50MP primary rear camera along with a 2MP depth sensor and LED flash. The device comes with an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/2.2 aperture. It packs a 7000mAh battery with 33W charging support. The device comes with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

The connectivity options include Dual SIM with Dual 5G, 4G LTE and VoLTE, A-GPS, GLONASS, Bluetooth 5.3, Dual-Band Wi-Fi, USB Type-C port, NFC, FM Radio, and a 3.5 mm audio jack. It runs on Android 15 OS with HyperOS 2 on top. The Redmi 15 5G also features an IR blaster, fingerprint sensor, and microSD card slot. This time, the device also gets an IP64 rating, making it dust and water-resistant.

Pricing:

Three color options are available for Xiaomi’s new low-cost phone: Frosted White, Sandy Purple, and Midnight Black. While the 8GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB options cost 15,999 INR and 16,999 INR, respectively, the 6GB + 128GB model starts at 14,999 INR. This model is available for purchase on Amazon India, the official website of the company, with first sales beginning on August 28.
