Samsung rolled out the Galaxy A17 5G at the start of this month, and it’s already available for purchase in the UK. The device has now officially arrived in India as well.

Galaxy A17 5G:

The new Galaxy A17 5G sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The notch carries a 13MP selfie shooter with an aperture of f/2.0. On the back, the Galaxy A17 features triple rear cameras, including a 50MP primary shooter with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 5MP ultra-wide lens and a 2MP depth sensor with an f/2.4 aperture, both equipped with OIS and an LED flash.

The Exynos 1330 SoC powers the Galaxy A17 5G. The device is coupled with 4GB/6GB RAM and 64GB/128GB internal storage. It also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot. All this is packed with a 5,000 mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging. It supports dual-band AC WiFi, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.3, as well as two stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

It runs on Android 15 with One UI 7 on top. Further, the device also features a fingerprint scanner on the side. Six major Android updates and six years of security patch support stood out to us the most.

This time, the Galaxy A17 5G is also IP54 rated, making it water-resistant. The official Samsung website confirms the Galaxy A17 5G will be available in Black, Blue, and Grey colours. Surprisingly, in Europe at least, the charger comes with the package. As we can see, this charger uses the European plug.

With the Galaxy A17, Samsung is also incorporating several AI features. Gemini is integrated into this and can be accessed via the power button. Circle to Search and Cross App AI, both of which are powered by Gemini.

Pricing:

It’s listed on Amazon starting at INR 18,999—keep in mind the suggested retail price is INR 21,999—for the entry-level config with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage. Opting for the 8GB RAM version bumps the cost to INR 20,498, and if you’re after 8GB RAM with 256GB storage, that’ll run you INR 23,499. Buyers can pick from three shades: black, blue, or gray.
