According to recent sources, the cellphones that replaced the previous model are expected to arrive earlier this year. The Xiaomi 16 series, for instance, is expected to debut by the end of September, one month before its predecessor, the Xiaomi 15 series, which was revealed in October of last year. Furthermore, according to a recent leak, the Redmi Turbo 5 will also be released earlier than anticipated.

As you may remember, the Redmi Turbo 4 was unveiled in China in January 2025. But according to tipster Smart Pikachu, the corporation is accelerating the Turbo 5’s arrival and plans to offer it in the domestic market in December.

It is anticipated that the Redmi Turbo 5 will be the first phone in the world to use the next-generation Dimensity 8500 chipset. The company will benefit from the chip’s exclusivity because phones with the same technology may be released by Honor, Realme, and iQOO in Q1 2026.

It has been reported that the Redmi Turbo 5 would have a 6.67-inch flat OLED LTPS display with a resolution of 1.5K. The Dimensity 8500 Ultra is a possible marketing name for the chip that drives the gadget. Additionally, a metal centre frame and a battery with a capacity of about 7,000mAh are anticipated.

The Redmi Turbo 5 Pro is expected to be a bigger handset with a 6.83-inch screen, comparable to the Turbo 4 Pro, when it launches next year. An 8,000mAh+ battery with 100W charging capability is rumoured to be included, and it may debut as the Poco F8 worldwide.

POCO X8 Pro early launch:

The Redmi Turbo 5 is said to be relaunched as the Poco X8 Pro, which will soon be available worldwide. Recall that in December 2024, EEC certified the Poco X7 Pro, and in January 2025, it became official. The EEC authorities have surprisingly already authorised the Poco X8 Pro, suggesting that it may make its debut shortly after the Turbo 5, most likely in December of this year.
