Samsung is gearing up to bolster its affordable 5G offerings with a pair of upcoming devices: the Galaxy F17 5G and Galaxy M17 5G. These models recently popped up on Geekbench, signalling a launch that’s right around the corner, thanks to insights from leaker Mohammed Khatri. Essentially, they’re reimagined takes on the Galaxy A17 5G, both fueled by Samsung’s Exynos 1330—a 5nm eight-core processor—alongside 8GB of RAM in the benchmarked prototypes.

Notably, their performance numbers varied: the F17 5G hit 975 in single-core and 2,242 in multi-core tests, whereas the M17 5G scored 762 and 1,596, respectively. This discrepancy likely arises from inconsistencies in testing setups, as final consumer versions are expected to deliver consistent results. The Exynos 1330 mirrors what’s in the Galaxy A16 5G, though that phone also offers a MediaTek Dimensity 6300 option in specific markets.

Look for the F17 and M17 to inherit key features from the A17 5G, including a spacious 6.7-inch AMOLED screen, a 50MP primary shooter, and a 5,000mAh battery supporting 25W fast charging. Samsung often differentiates these entry-level lines through subtle rear design changes, so that’s where variations might appear. They’ll arrive running Android 15 topped with One UI 7, backed by commitments for up to six years of software support.
