Xiaomi may continue to produce tablets this year. A month after launching the Redmi K Pad and Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro, the company is reportedly working on a new high-end model that will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro is most likely the device in question, though this has not been confirmed yet.
According to Digital Chat Station, a trustworthy Weibo tipster, the tablet will make its debut later this year along with the Xiaomi 16 series smartphones. According to the current timeline, the announcement might occur in late September or early October.
There are rumours that the Pad 8 Pro will have an 11- to 12-inch IPS LCD. It’s interesting to note that Xiaomi still doesn’t seem to be utilising OLED panels for their flagship tablets, and this new model appears to be no different. Regarding battery life, the gadget is said to have a “large battery,” though precise figures were not disclosed.
Additionally, the leak hints at “exclusive features for gaming performance,” though it’s not entirely clear what that means. Details are limited at this time, but it might indicate improved thermals, software adjustments targeted at gamers, or even specialised accessories.
