We get a good first look at the design of Samsung’s upcoming low-cost smartphone, the Galaxy A17, thanks to fresh leaked renderings. This next low-cost Galaxy phone has a simple yet stylish design.
The most recent AndroidHeadlines story included the official-looking renders. Targeting the budget market, Samsung’s new Galaxy A17 is probably going to be positioned as the company’s most reasonably priced smartphone. Notwithstanding its low price tag, the A17 has a sleek, minimalist design with smooth corners, a subdued camera arrangement, and a contemporary construction that is reminiscent of Samsung’s more costly models.
In the meantime, there are noticeable bezels on all four sides (particularly the chin) and what looks to be a water drop-shaped notch for the selfie camera on the front. According to the information we currently have, Samsung is developing two different Galaxy A17 models: a 4G and a 5G model. The Galaxy A17 4G, which features the MediaTek Helio G99 SoC, 4GB of RAM, and Android 15, first appeared on the Geekbench website in May 2025.
The Galaxy A17 5G was previously spotted with the Exynos 1330 SoC and 8GB of RAM. Still, according to the latest source, Samsung is upgrading the processor to the more powerful Exynos 1380 chipset. Additionally, it states that the front will have a 6.7-inch AMOLED display, while the back will have a 50MP triple camera configuration (5MP ultra wide + 2MP macro).
This low-cost phone is anticipated to be powered by a sizeable 5,000mAh battery pack that supports 25W wired fast charging.
