Gurman notes that Tuesdays are usually when Apple announces new iPhones. According to him, this indicates that the launch is likely to take place on the 9th. On the other hand, he thinks that September 8th or 10th could potentially be announcement days. Additionally, the business often does not release new products on Fridays or on September 11th.
