Google appears to be resolving significant issues from earlier iterations with the upcoming Pixel Watch 4, as evidenced by the recent online leak of its complete specifications. In addition to a new dual-chip configuration for increased responsiveness and efficiency, the latest smartwatch will feature a brighter display.
Pixel Watch 4:
According to the most recent source, which includes a comprehensive breakdown of all its features and specifications, it is powered by the same Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 processor as its predecessor.
However, this year’s twin chip architecture, which adds a supplementary M55 co-processor, is an improvement. Compared to last year’s M33 co-processor, it is quicker. It is anticipated that the improved co-processor would contribute to speedier AI performance, allowing the Pixel Watch 4 to manage five times the workload. Therefore, Gemini AI should be arriving on the Pixel Watch 4.
It is anticipated that this configuration would result in a significant increase in battery life. The 45mm model now has a larger 455mAh battery (up from 420mAh), while the smaller 41mm model now has a larger 325mAh cell (up from 301mAh). According to the source, the 41mm Pixel Watch 4’s battery can last up to 30 hours with the always-on display enabled or 48 hours with the energy saver option selected.
In contrast, the 45mm model offers a longer battery life of 40 hours when Always-on is enabled and 72 hours when Power Saving Mode is active. Google will finally allow customers to side-charge their Pixel Watches. This will improve their quality of life by enabling the timepiece to be utilised in a dock and charged while functioning as a bedside clock. Additionally, the device features various sensors, including a SpO2 blood oxygen sensor, an altimeter, a gyroscope, a UWB (ultrawide band) sensor, a barometer, a heart rate monitor, a compass, and multifunctional sensors that integrate with the ECG app.
On August 20, 2025, Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 4 at the Made by Google event. Pre-orders are scheduled to begin on the same day. However, a broader distribution is anticipated on August 28.
