The iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max, which are expected to be released in September, will likely feature a redesign of the back, with a huge camera island that fills the entire width of the device, a la Poco (to be fair, that was Poco a while ago; the Xiaomi sub-brand has since given up on such designs).

A few fresh hands-on photos of what appears to be an iPhone 17 Pro fake device were released today. We can take another look at that camera’s visor thing. Even though there are no electronics inside, the photographs are quite helpful because they should be 1:1 accurate in terms of size and style to the finished product.

Although they are now a part of a much larger island, the cameras themselves appear to be in the exact locations as they were in the iPhone 16 Pro. There isn’t much else to say about this other than it seems to be a current iPhone. Rumour has it that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be the first to use an aluminium frame, ending the company’s years-long experimentation with titanium and stainless steel.

In what is expected to be a very contentious design choice on the internet, the Apple logo on the rear will also reportedly be moved, now centred between the bottom of the phone and the bottom of the camera island.
