Oppo launched the Find X8 Ultra earlier this year in China, equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. According to the company, the Find X9 Ultra will debut in the first half of 2026, powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2. The upcoming Ultra variant’s camera setup was revealed by reliable tipster Digital Chat Station last month. Today’s new Weibo post revealed additional details about the phone’s imaging capabilities.

The tipster is likely referring to Oppo’s SM8850 phone, a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2-powered Find X9 Ultra that will debut in the first half of 2026. According to the leak, the engineering prototype has a 200MP primary camera and three 50MP secondary cameras.

The setup will feature dual periscope lenses with adjustable focal lengths and a 1/1.3-inch periscope camera with around 3x optical zoom. Furthermore, the tipster mentions that Oppo is conducting an A/B test to compare two different periscope telephoto setups while keeping the 200MP main camera the same.

Oppo may have decided to include a 200-megapixel sensor instead of the 1-inch LYT-900 primary sensor used in the Find X8 Ultra and Find X7 Ultra.
