As usual, the processor of Samsung’s next Galaxy Tab S11 was made public after it was allegedly identified in the Geekbench online database. The 3.73 GHz Prime core reveals MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ SoC, which will be used in the Korean company’s upcoming flagship tablet.
Nevertheless, the results this prototype achieved are far from what you would anticipate from this processor. That may be because Samsung is still fine-tuning the design, and this is a very early version. Therefore, don’t think about the statistics just yet.
When it releases, the tablet will run Android 16 and feature 12GB of RAM. Regarding that, the Tab S10 Ultra was released in October following an announcement in late September, and this year, we may see a recurrence of that schedule. According to the most recent rumours, the Dimensity 9500 is reportedly scheduled for an announcement earlier in September; thus, Samsung will have a problem if it does.
If Samsung launches its flagship tablet with an SoC that isn’t MediaTek’s flagship, it won’t look good. Naturally, however, only time will tell how things turn out. We’ll inform you when we learn more.
