It has been officially confirmed that Xiaomi will launch its Civi 5 Pro later this month. Xiaomi executives shared additional details following the announcement via official channels. Although the brand has not announced an exact launch date, May 22 is currently tipped as the possible launch date.
Xiaomi’s president and head of its smartphone division, Lu Weibing, says the Civi lineup is evolving from a trendy flagship to an all-around thin and light device. With its sleek profile and aesthetic appeal, the Civi 5 Pro, internally referred to as “Little 15,” matches the standard iPhone in terms of experience. Multiple colors will be available, including purple, beige, white, and black.
Xiaomi’s Civi 5 Pro features a Leica Pure Optics system inside a round camera. It has a f/1.63 aperture main camera, an ultra-wide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and a 15mm focal length, and a 50MP telephoto camera with a 60mm focal length, according to tipster Digital Chat Station. Officially, it will feature a 50MP front camera for selfies.
