A new leak from Digital Chat Station suggests that Xiaomi will launch its next clamshell foldable in June. In addition to the Redmi K80 Extreme Edition and Redmi’s compact gaming tablet, the device will debut alongside other Xiaomi products. The Redmi devices and the Mix Flip 2 are expected to launch at separate events.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite will power Mix Flip 2. Unlike previous years, it is unlikely that Xiaomi will launch a Mix Fold 4 in 2025. According to previous leaks, the Mix Flip 2 will have a 6.85-inch foldable OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. When unfolded, it measures 7.6mm and weighs around 190 grams, making it thinner and lighter than its predecessor. Stylish accessories are expected to enhance the phone’s lifestyle appeal.
3C certification has already been received in China, confirming the Mix Flip 2’s imminent launch. The phone is expected to feature a 5,100mAh battery and wireless charging support of 50W and 67W.
The camera is expected to have a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The device also supports IR blasters, NFC, fingerprint scanners, and is water-resistant to IPX8.
The global launch will likely occur shortly after the China launch in July. In Q3 2025, the Xiaomi 15T Pro could launch as an international variant of the Redmi K80 Ultra.
