We are just a few weeks away from the Galaxy Watch8 series. As far as we know, it will be released alongside the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7 in early July. According to the latest industry chatter, Samsung will reuse its Exynos W1000 chip for the Watch8.

In terms of smartwatches, the Exynos W1000 remains a top dog. With its penta-core CPU setup, consisting of four Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 1.5 GHz and a Cortex-A78 core running at up to 1.6 GHz, it is one of the fastest watch chips on the market, if not the fastest. It comes with a Mali-G68 MP2 GPU and fast LPDDR5 RAM. With a 3nm GAA process, the W1000 is very efficient.

The Classic model is expected to return to the Galaxy Watch8 series. In leaked renders, the Watch8 Classic appears to have a “squircle” case design that is very similar to that of the Galaxy Watch Ultra. According to reports, the vanilla Watch8 and the Watch8 Classic will have the same case shape.

The Watch8 Classic is also allegedly 46/47mm in size and has a 1.5″ diagonal screen, which works out to 46 x 46.5 x 14.2 mm. Based on Wear OS 6, we can expect a 450 mAh battery and One UI 8 Watch.
