Speculations about Samsung’s next midrange smartphone, the Galaxy A57, are in the spotlight following the discovery of its rumored Exynos 1680 processor. According to GalaxyClub, this chip will boost performance, hinting at exciting upgrades in 2026.
The Galaxy A57 will succeed the A56, which was launched in 2025 with the Exynos 1580, in Samsung’s A-series. In a new leak from GalaxyClub, Samsung’s Exynos 1680 (model S5E8865) is revealed as the likely processor for the A57. The Exynos 1680 could use AMD’s RDNA 3.5 architecture, which could be based on the brand’s own Xclipse 550 GPU. In most markets, the Galaxy S26 and the Z Flip 7 will be powered by Exynos 2500, which is rumoured to include RDNA 3.5.
According to NanoReview, the Exynos 1680 should build on the A56’s Exynos 1580, which scored 906K on AnTuTu with a tri-cluster CPU (1x Cortex-A720 at 2.9GHz, 3x Cortex-A720 at 2.6GHz, 4x Cortex-A520 at 1.95GHz). According to speculation, AnTuTu scores could reach 1.1-1.2M, and GPU scores could reach 300-350K.
The benchmark listings will likely surface as we approach launch, so it’s best to wait until then. With a 4nm process, the Exynos 1680 may adopt a 1+4+3 core configuration.
