Popular tipster Digital Chat Station recently revealed that a new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 (SM8850) smartphone prototype is undergoing internal testing. Despite its non-explicit name, it is widely assumed that the OnePlus 15 is the device. OnePlus’s next flagship’s display and camera specifications hint at a shift in design philosophy.

According to the leak, the OnePlus 15 prototype features a 6.78-inch flat LTPO display with 1.5K resolution. Unlike the curved 2K screen on the OnePlus 13, the new panel is said to have a large radius corner design, giving it a visual similarity to the iPhone.

Additionally, LIPO packaging allows for ultra-slim bezels and better front symmetry. A lightweight, minimalistic design will give it a sleek, edge-to-edge screen appearance similar to Apple’s recent phones.

As for performance, the OnePlus 15 will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip. It may come with a triple rear camera setup of 50 megapixels for photography. In a recent report, it was revealed that the device may have a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto camera.

According to the leak, the OnePlus 15’s design will be simple and lightweight. The phone will have a massive battery of around 6,500mAh, but other details about it are not yet known.
