It is rumored that iOS 19 will introduce a brand-new design. This will be the biggest update to the iOS platform since iOS 7. Jon Prosser’s new video has revealed the latest iOS 19 design.
The video shows off the changes we can expect in iOS 19. The icons will now be rounder than ever. Additionally, Apple has applied a shimmery effect to the edges and corners of widgets in the operating system. When the device is tilted, the shimmery effect shifts accordingly, as if you were looking at actual glass.
While it sounds interesting, we wonder how much it will impact battery life. It is similar in concept to Apple’s VisionOS, which powers the Vision Pro headset. Additionally, Apple has made the toggles longer and pill-shaped.
The new design of iOS 19 is complemented by the relocation of some elements within its native apps. The search field in the Messages app, for example, has been relocated to the bottom, just like the address bar in Safari. Users will likely become accustomed to the change over time, just as they did with Safari.
