Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 will be released this year, most likely in July. Google moved up the release timeframe of Android 16 to sometime in Q2 (April to June), making it possible to launch with Android 16 and One UI 8.0 on board.
Samsung’s next internationally available book-style foldable phone is reportedly getting a new rumor today that gives us further details. Like the Galaxy S25, it will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC.
Additionally, it is supposed to come with an improved selfie camera under the display, a “stronger display with new layers,” a smaller crease, a bigger vapor chamber, and even better vibration motors and speakers than its predecessors.
You’re not done yet! According to reports, the device is thinner, at 4.5mm unfolded, and has a larger display: 8″ inner, 6.5″ outer. Lastly, it should feature the same 200-megapixel camera as the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
When you compare the Fold7 to its Chinese competitors, it has the potential to put Samsung back on the foldable map for a model line that hasn’t seen much of an upgrade in recent years, if all goes well, of course.
