According to Digital Chat Station, Oppo will make significant design changes to its upcoming Reno series. With the next-generation Reno14 lineup switching to a flat display, the brand hopes to appeal to lightweight and flat-screen shoppers this year. In addition, the series will feature a periscope telephoto camera, a metal frame, and full-scale waterproofing, providing a premium experience on all fronts.
According to a recent Weibo post by DCS, the Oppo Reno14 series will include a flat display, a design choice that enhances durability and usability. Manufacturers are increasingly switching to flat screens for a more refined aesthetic. With a metal frame, the phone further solidifies its premium appearance while improving its overall durability.
Oppo is also expected to introduce a periscope telephoto camera, typically found on flagship models. According to rumors, the device may also feature full waterproofing, indicating an IP68/69 rating.
Oppo Reno14 models, including the Reno14 and Reno14 Pro, are expected to launch in the first half of 2025. Pricing will remain the same as the Reno13 series, which starts at 2,699 Yuan for the base model and 3,299 Yuan for the Pro model.
It’s unclear what the specifications of the Reno 14 Pro will be, but it may inherit or improve upon the hardware of the Reno 13 Pro.
